*** SPECIAL FEATURE - December'12 ***

Author Bio

Mayank is an IIM Calcutta (2010 batch) graduate, currently directly associated with the world of sales. He comes from an army background, and has therefore been to and stayed at various places across the country.
He is a talented mimicry artist, and has also done live audio cricket commentary in the past. He is a passionate sportsperson, and an avid writer. He has also been the founder editor of two marketing magazines at IIM Calcutta.
Currently he is on the lookout for a real life Rohit Salaria, whom he promises to give away all his property, the moment he meets him.

The Book
The book 'Stop Me If You Can!' is a light-hearted description of the life of an IIM grad in sales. Rohit Salaria is a fresh graduate from one of the famed IIMs, and has just picked up a sales job with an MNC called ABC. For his first assignment he is posted in Hyderabad as a territory manager. He discovers the ever dynamic world of sales; the uncertainties and the complexities related to it. And t
hen of course, there is that single most important corporate entity - boss.

But Salaria is different. Very different. Riding high on IIM credentials, the maverick in Salaria takes over as he devises his own methods to deal with situations around him. Salaria inspires his salesmen and peers. His bosses are in awe of him. His competitors want to kidnap him. Or so he thinks. Ahem.

Again, it is Salaria’s innovative approach and sheer self-belief that leads him to get a chance to be close to Priya, a girl he could have only dreamed of. He wants her badly. But the bigger questions still linger. Will he survive sales? Does Priya want him badly enough?

Join Salaria in this humor packed, blunder prone ride where logic takes a backseat. Laugh with him or laugh at him. Laugh you will.

  2. To Mayank, the author...

I am a aspiring author. I wrote a couple of stories. A good length of them. But not even one publisher made an effort to reply to my proposal. What do you think I should do? I know it is hard to become an I author. I would love if you could share your story..
