Interview with the Author:

When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer/ a storyteller?
2010, the year I first enrolled for a writing course. I had no ideas, just the absolute driven intent to realise one.

What inspires you to write?
I no longer write. The impulse however to write ‘The Representative’ was as strong as humanly possible. The reality. Croyan. The resource. His history as a parent, to Mariel. I write no longer, because I no longer need to write.

How did you come up with the idea for your current story?
From its literal inception, it began both with Croyan and Mariel. With respect only to the exact nature of the former’s present situation would it be an evolution of discovery. I was just so driven, to tell of a representative. A composed, patient, importantly-tasked individual; also a someone who’s a parent.

Is there some stories tucked away in some drawer that was written before and never saw the light of the day?
There was a project, preceding The Representative, but it’ll never now be revisited.

Tell us about your writing process.
To give an honest answer to that is to give a completely unique answer! Honestly, I don’t perceive myself as having a writing style - ‘The Representative’s claimed all of it!

What is your favorite scene in the book? Why?
His own association, with the four young adults.

What is the best piece of advice you have received, as a writer, till date?
“Write what you want”.

What is the best piece of advice you would give to someone that wants to get into writing?
Do precisely just that! You can keep going round and round in circles, trying to figure out what and to what not to write, but in the end all you have is your own identity: speak up for it!

How do you spend your free time? Do you have a favorite place to go and unwind?
I exist on the outside of the mainstream. Of course, to speak such a way is to look at reality in just one sort of way. I live as a regular contradiction, wanting to appreciate the beauty reality’s repetition has to offer, but craving for a transcendent future.

About the Book:
A trio of Trokans, and the unique situation in the all three of them having been drawn together over the same resource.
As central this is....in fact, it’s the link between a parent and their child that’s foremost to this story.
