An Interview with the Author:

When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer/ a storyteller?
Well, since childhood I thought I would be a good boyfriend, in future if I get married I think I would be a good husband, I imagined my future all the time and I thought my life would be simple, as I reached adulthood I realized that people change, dynamics change, even when two people are in love one cannot expect the other to cross mountains, I understood that it does not mean the other person loves you any less it's just that the situation is not right at the moment , after observing a series of relationships around me I realized humans are situation driven and I thought that I should write a book with no right or wrong person just people in pickle and it is up to my readers to love them or hate them.

What inspires you to write?
As I said earlier, I am a people person, if I feel that my words can make someone's day or even make them smile for a moment I would continue to write, people's reaction to my writing inspires me alot.

How did you come up with the idea for your current story?
My first book, Urban Love Give a Chance to Life is based on three female protagonist having radically different perspective on life and relationships, I read other Indian authors and realized not many write through the minds of a woman, thus this book my attempt to do something different, people who have read it even guys for that matter tell me that they actually feel they are women and women who have read it find it difficult to believe that a man has written it.

Tell us about your writing process.
I operate a restaurant in Bandra East called Zenzi Mumbai, since restaurant industry is a time driven place, I do most of my writing on Monday and Tuesday when business is slow, to tell you something interesting, I wrote my entire first draft on Note Pad of my HTC phone.

What is your favorite scene in the book? Why?
I got a couple of favorite scenes in the book to point out a couple I like the Goa scenes and the intertwined relationships of the girls at later stage.

What is your usual writing routine?
I am waiting for a thought to occur for my next book but when I write it's usually on the less crowded days at restaurant when I get the free time.

What is the best piece of advice you have received, as a writer, till date?
I have not got any advices from anyone directly but one thing I have learned, that to feel the emotions of your character you have to feel it too else your story would be far away from reality.

What would be the Dream Cast for you book if it was to be turned into a movie?
If my book is ever made into a Bollywood movie I would love to see Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra and Shraddha Kapoor as my dream cast.

If you were to be stranded on the famous deserted island, what three things would you carry?
Not three but the only thing would be my mobile ( I can't live without it) as all my activities happen on the same be it reading, writing, news , social networking everything.
