Read an Excerpt:

Err, Summer…hello?” Tyler turns my face sharply with his fingers. His warm boozy breath hits me head on.
“Hello again, Tyler is it?” A low voice cuts between us. I look up thankful for the interruption, shocked on it being from him, biker guy. He stands as close to me as Tyler does, the three of us almost touching. Tyler lets go of me and steps back considerably. Biker guy folds his arms and stares at Tyler.
“I’ll catch you later, Summer, for a slow dance.” Tyler winks then slinks away into the corridor. Wow, that was odd. For a moment I almost wish him back again, I know where I am with Tyler and what he wants, but this guy? This guy unravels me, makes me feel naked and unhinged. Now it’s just him and me.
He looks down at me; those piercing green eyes lock onto mine. My breath hitches, I feel giddy, hot, undone. This guy has shown nothing but distaste for me, yet here we both are. I want to reach out and pull him closer. What the hell is this? What cruel game is he playing? He must know what a huge effect he’s having on me.
He leans in slightly. “Happy birthday.” His lips make my cheek prickle as they almost touch my skin. He smells like chopped wood, slightly musky. I try to form words to tell him that it’s not my actual birthday, but I just garble something inaudible, like a complete fool, and he frowns down on me. I feel excited, wild almost and it can’t be the alcohol, it’s him. This is a new sensation and I don’t understand it, any of it, but I like it. He reaches toward me, and automatically I stop breathing. His hand reaches out, passes me and grabs a lager from the table. Disappointment sinks into my gut. He swipes the can and walks out. A heavy breath escapes me, letting my weight fall against the table. A drink spills over my dress and drips down my leg. Just great!
“You okay?” Persia and Coral are at my side.
“Where were you both?”
“Enjoying ourselves!” Coral laughs, she’s clearly had one green drink too many.
“I’m going to my room to change,” I tell them, pointing at the embarrassing wet patch near my bottom.
“Did we miss something?” Persia asks.
“Nothing.” I lie, realizing I’m glad that they did miss my ‘nearly’ moment with my biker guy. What am I saying? My stomach flutters warmly at the memory of his closeness. His delicious scent still hovers in the air like a ghost. We almost touched, and I ache that we didn’t. Escaping to my room to change, I’m confused.

The new paperback versions have been slightly rewritten and updated.
My YA contemporary romance book, "Just Sam," Is available on Amazon in print & on Kindle as is my YA/ New Adult fairy tale retelling, 'Cinderfella.'
I dreamt the lead male character in"Summer's End," a YA Paranormal romance series, published again with with 'Muse It Up Publishing.' Alex was so real and vivid that I had to write him. This title is also available in print and e-book. Book two of this series "Summer's Lost" is out December 2019.
