The heart listens to no one. It hums its own song. This is primarily the reason why love and music are so much interrelated. When a person falls in love, his heart becomes an orchestra of emotions which churns out a beautiful song, audible only to the heart of his lover.

There are different kinds of love stories, but one thing is same in all of them. In every love story, there is a melody. It might be sweet or passionate. It can also be transcending or heart wrenching.

In this book, you will be able to taste 35 distinct flavors of love. Delve in the verses, catch a glimpse of the 35 love stories unfolding before you and hear the melody they produce.

The heart listens to no one because it is governed by love. Then, why try to control it? Let it produce its own melody. Let it hum its own song.

The Soul Tale

The moment I chanced upon you,
I cognized my quest has ended.
The surreal imageries occupying my psyche
Are no longer an illusory mirage.

The fervency of your silent gaze
Pierced through my heart;
The ethereal words you whispered
Put my soul on a graceful motion.

Perceiving myself through your eyes,
I could unveil my camouflaged facets;
Like a mirror you stood,
Honoring my reflection and rumination.

Hand in hand, we meandered around
Like two birds with one wing each;
The journey we embarked on
Seems to be a beautiful Arcadia.

You are my spiritual counterpart,
We are two peas in a pod;
Our love, eternal and imperishable
And the soul tale goes on and on…

You are my poetry

You are there
Sparkling in every verse
That I write;
Sometimes, as a romantic muse
Other times, as a painful memory
You make me a poet
Because you are my poetry.
I only miss you
When I am not writing;
You dwell in the crevices of letters
And in the intricacies of my words
I only miss you
When words fail me,
As you are my poetry
I am your moonstruck poet.

The gurgling river

The gurgling river flows…
Somewhere in the middle
We met, fell in love
And separated.

The gurgling river flows…
Never caring to stop
The water current swipes us away
Can’t touch the same water twice.

The flowing river
Transports us to opposite shores;
The fleeting fast time
Keeps us busy in our respective worlds.

Yet once in a while
During a lovely starry night,
We gaze at the gurgling river
Searching the point we met.

The gurgling river flows…
Wiping away every dot and sign;
Just residual of memories
Languish in the labyrinth of our hearts.
