#SpecialFeature :: Introducing @shilpaauthor, #Author of #SavedByLove

*** Special Feature - February 2020 ***

About the Author:
A published author with Harlequin India, Locksley Hall and Juggernaut, Shilpa Suraj’s books have hit both the Hot New Releases and Bestseller lists on Amazon. Her next novel, tentatively titled ‘Wrong,’ has been contracted by Rupa Publications and will release later this year.
She is currently working on ‘Frazzled and Fabulous,’ a humorous, true-to-life parenting story that is part memoir and part nonfiction.
Shilpa has also been a panelist at the Womens Writers Fest and New Age Lit Fest Hyderabad and an active participant at the Hyderabad Literary Festival.
An avid reader with a passion for creative writing and storytelling saw her participating in writing competitions at school and dabbling in copy writing for an ad agency as a teenager. Ten years in the corporate space, including a stint in Corporate Communications for Google, India, and a spell at entrepreneurship all hold her in good stead for her multiple current roles of author, wife, mother and Head of Human Resources at an architecture and interior design firm.

Author Trivia:

I’m an unapologetic introvert. I love my privacy, my space and my me-time. And then I had a child and found all that flying out of the window. Now, I live my life with a little monkey hanging off some part of my body or the other.

I’m tone deaf and while I enjoy listening to music, even my humming is so discordant that my four year old has requested me not to sing her to sleep at night with lullabies. I enjoy dancing but look a bit like a drunken monkey on steroids when I attempt it. So, I limit my dancing to private dance sessions with my child every night, who unfortunately, might have inherited the same dancing gene.
And since I obviously lack grace and coordination, sports were a definite no-no. Especially team sports where my teammates strongly objected to being on the receiving end of my wildly uncoordinated plays.

An avid reader, my one solace in life is the wonderful world of books. Fiction, in all its myriad forms, is my one true love and this flowed into an inclination to try my hand at writing too. Given my lack of talent in every other field, I was skeptical about how this one would turn out. And yet, I found my niche. My love for the written word, whether reading or writing, continues to flourish.

I’m blessed to be able to do something I love, on however small or large the platform. I’m blessed to call myself an author. I certainly wouldn’t want to call myself a chef – I’d just give everyone food poisoning.

  1. Thanks for the giveaway. The girl is engaged to someone else when she realises who she is truly in love with, the boy is engaged to someone else. Very interesting.

  2. I am looking to read and review new authors so would love to add a signed copy of Shilpa's book to my mini-but-overflowing library!
    Have followed all steps for Giveaway but would anyway love to get this book for review. Honestly, I feel this might might help me warm up a bit more to the idea of romance (I'm single, you see) ;)
