Bonds of blood are strong...

Kelli loves men in uniform, and it isn’t unusual for her to hook up with members of her brother’s Navy SEAL team. When her brother finds out, their relationship is strained, but when he‘s injured on a mission, she drops everything and goes to him. Then she starts seeing his longtime best friend in a new way and the attraction may be mutual. Will that destroy her already strained relationship with her brother?

...but so are the bonds of love...

Todd is a SEAL through and through, but grown-up Kelli has caught his eye. Too bad she’s the sister of his teammate and best friend. When her brother Mike is injured, Todd is there to help them both through it, and what began as interest, sparks into something more. His life isn’t easy, though, and his career is his life. Will he lose the best thing he’s ever known because he can’t let go of the job?

...love is the mission that may end up costing them the most.

Teaser from Strong and Silent

Todd saw me gawking at him but didn’t respond. He gave a slight tilt to his head though. Inhaling a deep breath, I hoped my words would sound casual. “Hey, Todd. Welcome home.” I had this strange urge to hug him, but there was a fine line between us. He wasn’t a touchy-feely kind of guy around me, and I respected that, but damn my hands itched to feel him. It was such an odd reaction, I’d never thought of Todd in that way.

“Thanks.” He gave a curt nod, but there was something there in the recess of those hazel eyes giving me the impression he wanted to say more. He took a breath, looked toward the floor, and walked away.

Heading down to the main floor where the baggage carousel was located, we were silent. A few minutes later, the conveyer belts spun around without baggage. People milled about; some staring, and others checking their phones while expecting the first set of bags to arrive.

I kept glancing at Todd. God that hair, those eyes, that body, I was unable to look away. If he noticed he didn’t react, but would he? I was just his friend’s whacky little sister, so I figured I could get away with a little staring. Was Todd always this good-looking? Or were my hormones in overdrive?

Couldn’t be, it had only been a couple days since I was last with a guy.

My brother was babbling on about going out to eat and getting a beer or two. I let him ramble and don’t usually respond. It’s how we work. It’s one of the reasons he and Todd got along. One talked, the other didn’t.

Their family resides in the state of Virginia where Laci's muse keeps her up late at night.
