The soothing breeze of the hills touched Ipsha’s skin. She looked at the beautiful sky, which was a riot of colors as the sun prepared to bid adieu to the mountains. Being born and brought up in the lap of Nature, Ipsha has always found Nature to be her healer. She wonders how people who live in cities survive without the healing touch of Nature.
As Ipsha admired the beauty of Nature, the same tune startled her again. The tune was more vivid than ever and she looked around to find from where the tune was coming. She walked towards the direction from where the music was coming until she was stopped by a little girl. Ipsha smiled at the girl when she handed her a piece of paper. Ipsha realized that the note was from the stalker. She heaved a sigh and started reading.
I know you are in love with this tune…aren’t you? Yes Ipsha, it’s me. You guessed it right. I knew you would understand that it’s your crazy lover calling you through a tune.
Ipsha’s pulsating heartbeats made her shiver as she finished reading the note. The little girl was nowhere, but the tune persisted. It was a tune of obsession and longing. Ipsha could no longer hold her composure and she ran towards the direction from where the music was coming. The tune teased her as she couldn’t locate its source.
A wave of sheer frustration washed over her as she followed the tune. She felt exhausted after a while and gave up her search, holding her knees. She looked completely frazzled and messed up.
As she stood straight, she saw a silhouette in the distance. It was the silhouette of a tall man who had a cowboy hat on his head. Ipsha could clearly decipher that she has found the source of the obsessive tune. It was the time of sundown and Ipsha had difficulty in observing the person. She walked in the direction of the silhouette, with her aching legs.
The purple sky, the haunting tune and the gorgeous silhouette did some magic to Ipsha. A strong yearning to see the man who has been stalking her for a week grew in her heart. She desperately followed the silhouette, but it disappeared in the darkness. The tune also faded gradually, disappointing and frustrating her.
Who are you? Is there no way to reach out to you? Stop making me crazy.
Ipsha mumbled the words looking at the darkness, but the silhouette could no longer be seen. She couldn’t fathom why the person, claiming to love her, does not appear in front of her. She wanted to see the person who is incredibly crazy for her. On second thoughts, she questioned her decision.
Did she really want to see him?
A bizarre combination of fear and desire grasped her. There was definitely that lingering fear in Ipsha’s mind about the stalker, but now, there was also a delirious desire of seeing the person. It was an erratic feeling, something that Ipsha couldn’t put into words. She tried to hush her turbulent mind and finally walked towards home.
