Maggie had taken that moment to pry open the lid to the urn. When she had managed to prompt open the container, a cluster of her daughter’s ashes had burst forth and tickled her nose. It took her a moment, but she was able to stie the sneeze. Nobody noticed her small cough as they were all deep in prayer. Quickly, she had sifted through the contents of the urn, loosening more dust and akes of her daughter along the way. Finally, she found what she had been looking for. Maggie had stared down heavily at the shard of bone poking out of the ashes.

Quickly, before she could think things over and before anyone could see her despicable act, she had grabbed hold of the fragment of bone and pocketed it. Before she knew it, the doves had been released;. They, just a blur of white in the blank blue sky. And right before the tulips were plopped down into the water, as if on cue, she scattered her daughter’s ashes into the waters below, the nality of it like roses hitting the lid of a con.

About the Author:

M. Q. Nguyen knew she wanted to be a writer early on. When she is not writing immense scenes for her works of fiction, she divides her time between contributing to music sites and editing web novels. You can usually find her at a local coffee shop, sipping on some iced coffee as she taps away at her keys. She is currently working on a slew of titles, hopefully to be released on Saga Fiction soon!
