“Hey.” Will did a slight head nod.
“Hey.” I replied, trying desperately not to gush and girly giggle, hoping my face wasn’t bright purple. “So,” I said, gulping dryly.
“So?” Will cocked his head a little, like he was sizing me up or something. He had the biggest, chocolate brown eyes like the ones you see on a Disney prince, and a brown floppy fringe going on. Yes, Jade was a very lucky girl indeed. As I watched them mucking around together, they seemed so familiar and happy. I knew right then that I would have to settle for friendship. He was ‘her Will’ after all and I needed all the friends I could get.
“So, don’t you want to question me too?” I smiled at him.
“Nah, I think you told me everything I need to know in class earlier.” He raised a brow, which was kind of flirty.
“Oh, I didn’t see you.” I said, trying hard to ignore the whole hot brow thing.
“Will always sits at the back.” Jade informed me.
   “I’m a sloucher.” He shrugged.
“Yes, he’s so laid back, once he slipped right off his chair onto the floor.”  Jade laughed.
“Scott seems interested in her though.” Jade looked back at Scott, who was now eyeing me like he was annoyed with me.
“Chase likes anything in a skirt.” Will tutted.
“You guys don’t get on?” I asked.
“Used to. Then he started hanging out with the higher classes, his ‘sheep brigade.’ The guy cares more about the cost of his shoes than people. Watch your back with him.” Will stared into my eyes for so long, I had to break eye contact before I got lost in them, before Jade became suspicious.  Then he got up to leave. “Laters.”
   “Bye.” I waved.
“Meet me after school, you hear!” Jade shouted after him, to which he put his hand up, without looking back at us.
“Something I said?” Biting down on my bottom lip.
“Nah, Will may be awesome and cute and all, but boy can he be moody.” She sighed. “But you liked ‘my Will’ though?” Did I? Yes, I did, a little too much in fact. But right there and then I knew I wanted to be Jade’s friend and I had to see Will as hers and hers only.

I'm Kristy and I live in the U.K. I have always written short stories and poetry. I went to university to study acting which I loved, but my real passion has always been writing. So now I write the kind of stories I would have wanted to read as a teen. "Kiera's Quest-Awakenings" is my first ebook. There are four in the teen fantasy series, 'Sacrifices,' 'Perceptions,' and 'Choices.'( Muse It Up Publishing.) Kiera's Quest is now also available in paperback, book one includes the first two e-books, and book two (paperback) will be out 2020. The new paperback versions have been slightly rewritten and updated.
My YA contemporary romance book, "Just Sam," Is available on Amazon in print & on Kindle as is my YA/ New Adult fairy tale retelling, 'Cinderfella.'
I dreamt the lead male character in"Summer's End," a YA Paranormal romance series, published again with with 'Muse It Up Publishing.' Alex was so real and vivid that I had to write him. This title is also available in print and e-book. Book two of this series "Summer's Lost" is out December 2019. I'm currently editing book three to this series. I love reading YA angels, vamps etc. I love my kids and hopefully one day they will enjoy my crazy tales!
